The total cost of Project is Rs. 2979 to conversion rate is US$ 180 million Dollar and only cost of statue is Rs.1350 crore by government. If compares to 2th tallest statue call Spring temple of Buddha cost is US$55 Million dollar of project and cost of the only statue is US$18 Million dollar so Statue of Unity is 10 times more than the cost of Spring temple of Buddha. If If compares to 2th tallest statue call Spring temple of Buddha height is 128m and height of Statue of Unity is 182m and if we see the height of both statue they are little bit differences. So why is the price is 10x more? The Buddha temple was built 10 to 15 years ago today.If anybody see both statue so all most both are equal in view.
Return Of Investment?
The India's most visited place and most to see the Taj Mahal from all over the world around 8 Million yearly visitors. The Revenue Rs. 25 crore yearly. Lets suppose Statue of Unity is popular more than so only the Revenue Rs. 25 crore yearly. The statue of Unity will take 120 years to break even. Let's assume 1 million come to visitors yearly and everyone purchase most expensive ticket which is cost around Rs.350. In a same way Rs.35 crore yearly revenue assume approx 80 years to break even maintenance cost isn't included.
Some questions.
You will definitely get questions in some people's mind. Which is many shops will open and many people get jobs by build it. So where is lost. If the government doesn't make this statue. The government could open a lot of skill development by this fund. There was no need for statue, but instead universities and skill development centers opened mush. According to this information, hasn't noticed its profitable. Staying here it is wasting of tax.
The Potential For Tourism.
According to me Statue of Unity popular tourist attraction will not be made for our country.
Why its not popular tourist attraction because of location. As we know Statue of Unity located
in Gujarat city. Whichever fame attracts, it remains around the big city. The statue of liberty is
built inside New York, also Eiffel tower inside the Paris. This is the biggest region that's why it
is so Famous. Ahmedabad is 4 hours away from the Statue of Unity. Mumbai is 8 hours away from Statue Of Unity. Unfortunately there is no special thing inside the Statue of Unity. It is a
great e.g that people don't see Spring temple Buddha when they are gone China people
prefer to visit other famous place like Great Wall of China, etc. The color that is used to make
the Statue of Unity is quit a common color, and we get to it in most all the Statues of similar
kind. The texture of which is quit simple is that there is no uniqueness in it. If we compile this
statue to Taj Mahal, Red Fort, etc. So we are prefer to visit these all place, Not visit to Statue
of Unity.
Preservation Of History & Culture.
According to Archaeological Survey Of India 3600+ Monuments under ASI. Only 116 Monuments have tickets
and earn revenue by this. Many of these are basic animated is missing in monuments also basic services is missing.
If the government spent money on them, then revenue would be mush higher than.
Social & Environmental Impact.
We would be very sad to know that all the villages in the land used to make this statue were there
and there were more tribals and they were all remove from that place. The Leader of villagres has written a letter
to Modi ji.that "These forest, rivers, waterfalls, land and agriculture supported us for generation. We survived on them.
But, everything is being destroyed now and celebrations are also planned. Don't you think its akin to celebrating
someone's death? We feel so."the letter, having common content and singed by sarpanchas of 22 villages, staned.
"We all villagers want to tel;l you with extreme grief that we will not welcome you on October 31.
Even if you come here like an unwanted guest, you are not welcome here," it added.
They alleges that people's hard-earned money is being wasted on projects like Statue of Unity
though several villages of area are still deprived of basic facilities like area schools, hospitals and drinking water."
Politics & Pride.
A lot of political parties have created a lot of statue to increase their own polity. This statue is one of them.
The biggest e.g is Mayawait's elephant statue. Modi ji has made such aunt with lots of politics here and if any
